Apostle Darius Twagirayesu was born on May 2, 1960 in Rwanda. Due to the 1959/1960 genocide in Rwanda, his family fled to neighboring Uganda. He completed elementary and high school education in Mbarara, Uganda. In 1978 he gave his life to the Lord Jesus Christ during an open air crusade in Kampala, Uganda.

In 1980 he went on to study Accounting at Universal College in Nairobi, Kenya. Upon completion he was hired as an auditor for African Council of Churches in Nairobi, Kenya.

In 1984 he accepted the call to the full time ministry and attended Pan African Christian in Nairobi, Kenya where he graduated in Pastoral Ministry. While in Bible College, he pastored St. Andrews Church in Kasarani, Kenya and was involved in numerous evangelistic outreaches all over the nation of Kenya.

In 1988 he received a scholarship to continue Biblical Studies at Grace University in Omaha, Nebraska. In 1990 he completed his BS in Pastoral Ministry and Counseling at Grace University Omaha, Nebraska.

In 1990 he relocated to Boston, MA. He founded African Fellowship Ministry, a monthly fellowship of African students from 30 nations of Africa. In this fellowship hundreds gave their heart to the Lord Jesus and were actively involved in outreaches to hospitals, prisons, churches, conferences and street evangelism.

On July 25, 1992 Darius married Mwakawaza Nyirenda. Mwaka Twagirayesu is an Attorney by education, Social Worker, powerful preacher and dynamic speaker of The Word of God. She is the founder of Fresh Aroma International Ministries. They are blessed with three sons, Shimira 6), Sinze (5) and Prince (18 months old).

In February 1993 Darius and Mwaka pioneered All Nations Christian Center Church in Cambridge, MA with cell group fellowships in Worcester, Lowell Maine And New Hampshire. They organized numerous conferences, crusades, seminars, workshops hosting many many ministers of The Gospel from The USA, Europe, Asia and Africa and supporting ministries in Eastern and Southern Africa.

In 2001 Darius began sensing a call to return to Rwanda and rebuild the broken lives of the victims of the 1994 genocide where 1 million people died in 90 days. Preliminary work was done to purchase land and lay the foundation to build an orphanage, school, vocational training center and church.

The vision of International Hope for Rwanda was birthed in Darius heart with the theme scriptures being Isaiah 61:1 "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because he has anointed me to preach the good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted" and James 1:27 "Pure and undefiled religion before God and The Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble".

Darius and Mwaka are raising support to fulfill this vision that will act as an instrument of healing to the nation of Rwanda, especially a place where children can hope again.


Prophetess Mwaka Twagirayesu is The President, CEO and Founder of Fresh Aroma International Ministries, a ministry birthed by The Holy Spirit with an apostolic and prophetic global mandate to release God's fragrance through The dynamic preaching of The Word of God and demonstration of The Power of God in churches, cities and nations. Fresh Aroma is anointed to bring healing, restoration and transformation to people from all walks of life. Fresh Aroma has been called and ordained by God to empower, edify and equip the Body of Christ with strategic tools for Kingdom advancement and called to win souls for The Kingdom.

Prophetess Mwaka is a prolific preacher and teacher of The Word of God, an international conference speaker, an anointed psalmist, a woman of prayer who operates under a powerful prophetic mantle. Countless lives have been impacted and transformed through her ministry. She ministers with the love and compassion of Jesus Christ. Her greatest passion is to see The Body of Christ come out of complacency and mediocrity and become the people of power, purpose and influence God created them to be. She receives numerous invitations to minister at conventions, conferences, crusades and retreats and has travelled all over The USA, Europe and Africa preaching the glorious Gospel of Our Savior Jesus Christ, The Lord confirming His Word with signs and wonders.

Together with her husband Apostle Darius Twagirayesu, they have been pioneers in Christian Ministry and church planters in The New England. Numerous churches, ministries and fellowships have been birthed in Massachusetts, Maine and New Hampshire through their first church, All Nations Christian Center, a church which had over 30 nations from Africa and The Carribbean. She assists her husband with International Hope For Africa, an organization he founded which is devoted to poverty reduction, academic education and economic empowerment in Africa, one nation at a time, www.ihopeforrwanda.org

Prophetess Mwaka is an Attorney by education, she received her Law degree from The University of Buckingham in Buckingham, England in 1990. She also studied at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts where she received a Masters in Sociology in 1992. From 1995 - 2005, she worked as a Family Resource Social Worker, Mediator and Legal Advisor at United Homes For Children, Inc. Among her many responsibilities was to access academic, legal, medical and housing resources for children, youth and families in need. She also served as a Consultant with her agency to Hurricane Katrina victims who had relocated to Massachusetts and The New England area. She uses her education and academic achievements to serve God with a spirit of Excellence, Integrity and Professionalism.

Prophetess Mwaka and Apostle Darius are the proud parents of three miracle boys ages 10, 9 and 5. Through their international ministry they have mentored and raised and continue to raise many spiritual sons and daughters who are doing a tremendous work for The Kingdom of God in The USA, Europe and Africa.

Prophetess Mwaka acknowledges outstanding Servants of God who have mentored her in the ministry namely Ev. Teresia Wairimu and Prophet Bernard Blessing. She honors her Spiritual Father, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan Williams for the great investment, impact and impartation she has received and continues to receive from his outstanding life, testimony & global apostolic ministry.

In addition to her busy ministry schedule, Prophetess Mwaka continues to serve as Ministerial and Public Relations Liasion to her biological Mother, Her Excellency, Dr. Inonge Lewanika, who is The Ambassador of Zambia to The USA, based in Washington, DC.
